We are able do this because of the direct manufacturing and selling basis of our business - models direct from the factory and not from an intermediary or trading / marketing company. All models are shipped internationally through FedEx, UPS or DHL Express Courier (Door to Door worldwide within about 3 business days). Fully traceable and insured against damage or loss).
Apart from those models you see in our eBay store - using your photos or images, we will make you a personalized replica model of your aircraft with your own individual paint scheme, logos, registration number, antennas and all the details that make your airplane special. You can even upgrade and personalize your model with a fully customized transparent interior to match your seats, colors, instrument panel and all other important interior details. Alternatively, we can copy any current or historic commercial or military airplane or helicopter that has ever flown just by giving us images or photos. The Wipaire Boss Turbo Beaver: Revitalizing a Classic
The Wipaire Boss Turbo Beaver represents a significant evolution in the storied history of the de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver, a plane renowned for its robust performance and versatility in challenging environments. This upgraded version of the classic Beaver introduces modern engineering enhancements and power improvements, providing a fresh breath of life into a legendary aircraft design.
History of the DHC-2 Beaver:
First introduced in 1947, the original de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver quickly became a favorite among bush pilots for its exceptional short takeoff and landing (STOL) capabilities and its ability to operate in rugged, remote areas. The Beaver’s reliability and adaptability made it a workhorse in regions where aviation is often the only viable means of transport.
Introduction of the Boss Turbo Beaver:
Building on the Beaver’s impressive legacy, Wipaire’s Boss Turbo Beaver modification breathes new life into this iconic aircraft. The modification includes the installation of a PT6A-34 turboprop engine, which replaces the original piston engine. This engine upgrade not only enhances the aircraft’s performance by increasing its horsepower but also improves fuel efficiency and reliability.
Performance Enhancements:
The Boss Turbo Beaver showcases a remarkable improvement in performance metrics. The PT6A-34 engine boosts the aircraft’s maximum speed and reduces its takeoff distance, making it even more capable in the backcountry. Additionally, the increase in power allows for a higher gross weight, enabling the Beaver to carry more cargo or passengers without sacrificing performance.
Modern Avionics and Comfort:
Apart from the engine overhaul, the Wipaire Boss Turbo Beaver also features modern avionics that significantly improve navigational capabilities and pilot interface. The upgraded cockpit includes GPS, weather radar, and advanced communication systems, providing pilots with enhanced situational awareness and safety.
The interior of the aircraft has also been refined for greater passenger comfort, with improved seating, noise reduction measures, and an updated climate control system. These enhancements make the Boss Turbo Beaver more suitable for longer journeys, offering a blend of performance and comfort that is rare in utility aircraft.
Conclusion:
The Wipaire Boss Turbo Beaver serves as a testament to the enduring legacy of the de Havilland Beaver. By integrating modern technology and engineering with a tried-and-true design, Wipaire has ensured that the Beaver remains relevant in today’s aviation landscape, continuing to serve pilots and passengers in some of the world’s most inaccessible areas. Whether it’s for commercial operations, firefighting, or simply exploring the wilderness, the Boss Turbo Beaver stands out as a top choice for aviation enthusiasts seeking a blend of tradition and innovation.
